Sonia Whitbourne is a Sr. Account Manager of the Individual Life Department. She is responsible for all aspects of the Individual Life business, including Sales Presentations - coordinating quotes for new policies with CUNDY consultants and business contacts. New Business processing - orders exams, secures medical records and complete applications. She works closely with our General Agents and Insurance Carriers to track the underwriting progress, to get policies issued and delivered to our clients in the shortest possible time. She also services our inforce block of business and is a liaison between CUNDY clients and insurance carriers on all service related issues. She has 30 years experience in the Insurance and Financial Industries.

Prior to CUNDY she worked in the Home Office of an Insurance Company and was the Director of Compliance for their Broker/Dealer, overseeing 50 Branch Offices and 1200 Registered Representatives. Her prior experience also included administering Qualified Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Pension Plans and educating the sales force on Individual Retirement Plans - 401(k)s, Tax Sheltered Annuities (TSAs) and HR-10 Plans. She also worked with UNUM in one of their Field Offices, as an Account Specialist in Employee Benefits servicing Group Clients with Short Term, and Long Term Disability and Long Term Care Plans.

Sonia received a B.A. degree in Psychology from City University of New York (C.U.N.Y.), where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is licensed in Life, Health and Variable Annuities and earned the CLU and FLMI industry designations.
